We understand the moving and storage industry has a negative impact on the environment. That’s why we are committed to offsetting the carbon we put into the air.
One Tree Planted
Scientists tend to agree that reforestation is one of the top solutions to the climate crisis. For this reason, our moving company is partnering with One Tree Planted. We plant a tree for every move booked with us.
When you book a move with Sitterly Movers our donation on your behalf pays for a sapling, the preparation of its plot, planting, and maintenance.
At Sitterly Movers, we are always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
We believe that it is our responsibility to take care of the planet, and we are doing everything we can to make sure that we leave it in a better state than when we found it.
Recycling Packing Materials
Boxes are something you can’t avoid during a move, but we try to reduce our impact as much as we can. We train our crews to pack efficiently so we use the minimum amount of materials. We donate used packing materials to our customer free of charge. Any packing materials that can’t be used again are recycled. Additionally, we use plastic totes instead of cardboard boxes whenever we can.
Going Green Initiative
We have established a company-wide “green” commitment. This commitment includes:
- Recycling of office waste, used packaging, and used vehicle fluids.
- Usage of biofuels and non-toxic vehicle fluids (i.e. antifreeze) where possible.
- Electric and fuel consumption conservation practices.
- Packing cartons made with Recycled Cardboard.
- First Trailer Tail in the moving Industry.
We believe that it is our responsibility to take care of the planet, and we are doing everything we can to make sure that we leave it in a better state than when we found it.
